100 years ago: the October Revolution

On November 7, 1917 (*), the October Revolution shook the world. Led by Vladimir Lenin, the Bolshevik Party seized power and opened a new historical epoch, full of hope for the oppressed masses all around the world. 

(*) This was October 25 in the old Russian calendar
